Causes

Here are some of the causes I support in various capacities. If you are in a position to support any of these organisations, I encourage you to do so.

Regular financial donations

I support the following organisations with small financial donations every month.

• Democracy Now!: Amy Goodman's progressive news program that covers stories often ignored by mainstream media.
• freeCodeCamp: A non-profit organization that provides free coding education and resources. I have benefitted from their free courses.
• IndieWeb via Open Collective: A community of independent and personal websites based on the principles of: owning your domain and using it as your primary online identity, publishing on your own site first (optionally elsewhere), and owning your content. • Wikimedia Foundation: A non-profit organization that supports the Wikimedia movement, which includes Wikipedia and other free knowledge projects.

Volunteer work

I occasionally volunteer my time and skills to support:

• The Turnaround Project: A non-profit organization that provides support and employment opportunities for individuals who have been through the criminal justice system. I have designed posters for and helped out at their events.

Past support

I have previously donated to:

• NPR: A public radio network that provides news and cultural programming. My regular donations ended only because I had to trim down my list due to financial constraints.
